From what I have experienced, it happens every time you use F5 while solving, which unfortunately is the default reaction to any interface problem (particularly when one of those messages [I think it's when it detects connection issues?] says explicitly to do so).

In fact, the game already saves the position of the pieces locally and they are correctly replaced after a refresh (F5).
I can't reproduce your problem.
Do you systematically have the pieces disappear when you press F5 or is this a very specific case (which I'd like to find out more about so that I can reproduce the problem).
For example, do you encounter the same problem in single-player mode?

I just tried in solo mode and the pieces didn't disappear. Will have to try in an arena match later on to check if it's the mode or it only gets triggered when there are errors. That last one will have to wait until it happens again.

Ok, seems like this happens only paired with server issues. The locked cells (their place, not the piece) stay locked, but all pieces get reset. Didn't get a screenshot of the server errors because it would had been more like a video of 5m of warnings, and the resulting page after F5 is exactly as described from the prev-F5 one.

This is the table ID of where I found the problem: 467344876. Solved between 4-5m, but could only get past the errors by the finishing mark (>10m). Maybe the internal log of moves may give some idea if something can be done.

I think it's related with ticket 104742 and that the issue only occures if you are playing when you are not supposed to.
