If I just drop one assistant in the research center, it woks correctly (provides the ability to pay 2 to acquire my 4+ tech).

check that, now it's not letting me do that either... I'm going to come back later and see if its maybe an issue with BGA servers

also of note, I notice the cursor is spinning, which I am not used to seeing on bga

if I refresh the page I get this message:

but it never renders the widget that should allow me to spend $2 to acquire my 4th+ tech

tried this from other devices and revisited the next day, no change in behavior.

the weirdest part is that it actually showed me the option of paying $2 to unlock the ability to acquire my 4th+ technology one time (when I just dropped 1 agent plus my president on the space with the station), but when I undid that turn to see if it had been fixed for 2 agents, then went back to try 1 agent again, it no longer worked either. :(

After about 2 dozen attempts (dropping 2 agents and my president on the research center), it finally rendered that part of the interface (allowed me to pay 2 coins so I could get access to my 4th+ tech). This time, I had the two tech locations on-screen already, but in the reverse order.

I have two assistants at the Lab. I add two more and move my pres there for a total of 5 gears. At the top the games says I have 5 gears. However the display of tech options window gives me the option to purchase a "4th gear or more" and does not give me the option to purchase anything over 3 gears. It acts as if I only have 3 gears (2 assistants + Pres) and not 5.
