I think it affects all game, but problem most annoying in more complex games like Terra Mystica/Civilization 3ed etc

This report omits the essentials, as this feature already exists for completed games.

It is about the replay of the games in progress, triggered by clicking in the appropriate place in the log, and which is almost useless since it is uncontrollable: this is what this report denounces.

Yes! Please make the Replay for ongoing games the same as for finished games (with "Step by step" and "Go to move #").

I would also like to see a "move back one" button (in both forms of replay). Sometimes when replaying a completed game it jumps through a couple of events and you can miss one - it would be nice to be able to go back a move and catch what it was.

Concur especially with September 26th suggestion.
When going through replay if you want to go back one there is no clear way to do so without returning to the beginning and using advanced feature to go to move. In game with hundreds of moves it is especially frustrating. Having a back one button that functions like the advance one button but in reverse would allow going back and forth and ability to analyze all of the details.

Yeah this used to work in game. But now all of the play pause fast forward buttons are stacked on top of each other and unusable.

Agree with above. Need more control on post-game playback. However in-game replay for turn-based games needs significant improvements prioritized.
During turn-based games, if you have a note saved, when you click the button to “replay recent moves,” it reloads the screen. So the notes re-opens and the board scrolls to top. Replay begins. By the time you close the note and scroll down, the replay is complete. But now there’s no replay button? So I can’t figure out what happened in the game.
Currently struggling with this on my iPad using Safari in landscape mode. If I change to portrait mode, I can see the entire board, but can’t find the replay button?

Seconded. Replaying on a phone is virtually impossible. It takes around 40 minutes to replay arc nova to the first 50 moves. Switch off animations?

Board Game Arena is excellent, you have done a great job!
Please help us with this, it makes Turn-Based play difficult. The lack of this feature means I don't see some actions in games.
