Probably there is a misunderstanding about the difference between Effect and Bonus. Please check the rules.

Had a card to play any number of ‘bats’ icon for free and it wouldn’t let me play the first ‘bat’ card. The play card action button was greyed out even though was a free card. The turn timed out and I received bad karma as I couldn’t do anything!

Ok I close this bug report which is a non sense. After about 3 000 000 games, i can't believe bonus and effect are inconsistent. Except for people who have not understood that bonuses need to have been paid with matching tree symbol to be triggered.
If you think there is a bug on one card, please report a correct bug report with game id, move id, card played and cards used as paiment.
