The game ended with two players having the same number of points (202). In that case, the game should continue, but BGA finished the game with a tie, two players had got same number of points and two players reached first place.

I count rule clarifications and FAQs that are from official sources (publishers, designers of the game) as part of official rules (as long as they are not marked as "variant" or something similar).

The English version of the rules, that is available online, does not address ties at all (not "play another round", not "shared victory"). The publisher just forgot to add a clear rule about ties. The FAQ fixes that. And I am not sure, if any other print run may have updated printed rules, that are just not available online (e.g. at BGG - boardgamegeek.com/thread/3417458/ties - someone quoted that tie breaker rule, maybe he owns another printrun with updated rules?).

By the way, the tie breaker rule is present in the offical German rules by Kosmos, see cms.kosmos.de/game-instructions/400205685430_Flip7_Manual_DE_web.pdf - this edition has been release two days ago, and it is probably licensed by the original author / publisher.

If you are not yet convinced, maybe you can ask the publisher, how they think, ties should be handled at BGAs online version.

By the way, the French version of the rules says:

"Il ne peut y avoir qu’un seul vainqueur. En cas d’égalité, jouez une nouvelle manche pour départager tous les joueurs."
(Translation: "There can be only one winner. In the event of a tie, play a new round to break the tie.")

No worries, I will ask the publisher.
When the game was implemented, that was not in the official rules (provided by the publisher himself).
That's why I changed this ticket from issue to suggestion.

I've just had the same thing - was expecting a tiebreaker round; but instead we had two winners.

We should have had an extra round - where anyone could have won.

I just had the same situation come up. If the implementation isn't going to change, the "How to play?" section on BGA should be updated accordingly since it currently says:

Game End
At the end of the round when one or more players has 200 points or more, the player with the most points is the winner. In the case of a tie, all players continue playing additional rounds until there is one winner.

This is misleading for players learning the rules from this information or checking this section during the game!
