You can capture either a build or any number of separate card sets. You cannot do both with a single card.
Your mileage may vary, but this is how the BGA version works.

What? Is that your understanding of how the rules should work offline? I just want to make sure because otherwise it feels pretty arbitrary to say something is not a bug just because "this is how the BGA version works"

Just so I know before opening any other tickets, do you have a definitive source that you are using for the rules for the BGA version?

I ran into a related issue in another game, but it wasn't during the auto-playing of the final card, so I will try to add it here. My understanding of the rules is that when taking a build, you can add any free cards (on the table, but not in another build) as part of your taking of the build. Or if when I review it it seem different enough, I will open a new ticket. Thanks again!

I found it:
Table 648821239 / Move 9 and 11 (or 8 and 10). The first is similar, but different. the second is the same except interface instead of auto-play.

What happened:
- I play a 2 to break their built 7, but as I read the rules, I should have been able to add the 9 on the table to my newly minted 9 build. The interface prevented me from doing it.
- Then when I went to pick up the built 9, the interface would not allow me to take the free 9 that was on the table
