A few examples to solve the issue:

1. Move the "incompatable missions" button to a location where it isnt close to other buttons or game elements that need to be interacted with often.

2. Set a requirement of 2 or more people that need to press the button before the tasks are replaced.

3. Ask for a conformation from the one that pressed the button ( something like "are you sure the tasks should be replaced?" [ok] [cancel] )

4. Add an undo feature so you can go back to previous task combinations you had for the current mission.

Any of these four changes would make it make it harder for the tasks to get replaced accidently and permanently.

Absolutely agreed. At a bare minimum, we need to be able to see who hit the button in the case that someone is intentionally trolling and cycling tasks too quickly for anyone else to see it happening - but the real solution is to make it harder for people to hit the button on purpose or accidentally.

I've done the same thing myself, accidentally double clicking up top and cycling out the missions.

I would consider this to be a duplicate of bug 55181.
