#92887882 - same thing for this game. The first person could not place a time. We kicked and continued, and had the same problem with an additional player later in the same game.

#100666236 same problem, there were two walled tiles and those were the only place to put the Lava tile I drew and both walls withstood the lava so I couldn't place it anywhere.

SUGGESTION: A "Discard the Lava tile" button or be able to place it into the water with a red edge to tell players that it won't attack the village from the back

I also ran into this in a recent game where I had the last tile to play and could not play it because of tile configuration and walls blocking spaces that the tile could not overcome. There was nothing I could do, and my opponent had to cancel the game on his side.

i'm having this problem now. boardgamearena.com/3/akeruption?table=257105854 I've tried every possible combination of the tile and cant legally place it. its the first time I've had this issue. im in the middle of this game and i dont want to quit and suffer bad karma.

This has been resolved. The rules aren't explicit on what to do in this situation, but it seems in the spirit of the rules that you'd pick another tile instead, as is the case when you draw an immediately unplayable tile. So this now happens automatically. Board spaces which have 'defended' against a placement with the first tile are protected against later tiles. In the event that no playable tiles remain in the deck, it is treated as an empty tile deck situation.

There are likely still to be possible edge case bugs here related to interaction between action cards on a blocked board, but the above should resolve the issue for the vast majority of cases.
