Actually, this comes from a rule ambiguity (which comes IMHO from a rule that got wrongly modified from the Top Race version). In the rules it is said that all players must get a car at the end of the auction turns. But players can pass. So I tried to fix the ambiguity by forcing the players to auction on cars if there are as many players without car that cars without player.

Please let me know (as you have access to rule gurus ;-)) what you think about it and how to fix this. I will gladly implement the proposal.

I think this was how we worked it out in discussion:
In the first round of auction, players should be able to pass if they wish to, even if they have a card with that color car on it.
If all six cars come available in the auction, and due to passing on prior cars, more than one person is left that has not bought a car, a new round of auction should start, and in that second round, players will be forced to play a card as a bid if they possess one with a matching color line. If they don't have any cards with that color line, they must play a card with a wild line as the bid. In the (very unusual chance) that they don't have a color line match or any wilds they would automatically pass.

In the (nearly impossible) chance that they are the last player left to own a car, and have neither wild cards or matching color lines for that car, we'll have to get the ruling from the rules bosses :) I'll ask them.

Excellent !

So to summarize:

- in the first round, you can pass even if you have no car
- in the first round, you can auction UNLESS there are fewer or equal cars left than people without a car
- in the second round, you MUST auction unless you can't

But anyway, in the rules it is stated that you can auction if you don't have the color with any card, so I take it that auctioning is always possible.

I couldn't pass even though the description says "You must play a card or pass". I only see a button for pass.

I also wasn’t able to pass in two different games today. I tried to use a card without the color of the car I don’t want but received an error. If there’s a pass option would be great if its clear on how to do that. Thanks
