saw in the lastest game update that it is already implemented only i tried to do it the drag and drop way so you can dismiss this suggestion.

As mentioned, this is already possible. I think mentioning it in the instructions in the top bar would be unwieldy, but I should make sure it goes in the tutorial or How To Play text.

I have been unable to use the Sourcer with click source, click destination instead of drag and drop. Latest attempt was Feb. 5th, 2021. I had to zoom way out to drag it where I wanted. On Firefox on Windows 10.

I've just tested on Firefox 85.0.1 on Windows 10 and Sourcer interaction seems to be working fine...
At what stage does the click and place not work, e.g. when you click on a basic source in the supplies, do you get a red border around the tile?

I had a very closely related problem in game 177126654, when trying to use an Expander. My stock of components was so far away from the thing I wanted to expand that it was very difficult to drag between the two.

Did you try to click the component in your hand (to select it with a red outline) and then click at the location you wanted to place it?
If so, at what point did it fail to behave correctly, e.g. does the red outline appear?
If not, what changes to the interface would help inform you that this is an option?
