Same bug in this game. Score showed 66 to 58. But then 58 on "final result" turned into 68 and was declared winner.

Game 196173617 which ended at move 140. After end scoring, Red score shown to red player, and displayed to red player on the "results" page, was 60, but Red was declared the winner. Upon refeshing (F5) both the score and the results page had the correct score (73).

Blue score did not change after the refresh (62) so I assume it was correct.

It is perhaps relevant that on the final round (Red playing last) both players researched a level-4 technology. However, the discrepancy in the displayed Red score (13 points) was not the same as the bonus for the technology researched (8 points).

I have a screen shot in gamie 196173617 of the end display before doing refresh, obtained by replaying from jus before Blue got the Transcendence award, but I don't deal with apps that require you to whitelist against ad blocking, so it is not being posted on imgur.
But what I did notice (BIG CLUE) is that during the scoring, the score number shown for red suddenly dropped from 64 to 51 points. That is exactly the 13 point discrepancy.
The screenshot shows the following, from top to bottom on the right:

We had a similar issue: two of the scores matched, but sreaberac's score was 56 in the game panel and 68 on the BGA game over screen. The 68 seemed to be correct.

The current situation:

The running score doesn't count everything.

The following is not counted:
* Points gained from IIII (all level 4 techs, including the ones that grant a fixed amount of VPs)
* Points gained from colony bonuses (like Krueger)
* Points gained from locations controlled at game end
* Points gained from Tier 2 Guild Events ( meaning Onu, Speaker for the Colonies and KC-24X, First Android Governor. )
* Those weird points you gain from event card like 1 point for every 3 military power at end of game etc. Confirmed for the following but likely for all of them:
* * Points gained from Monolith Construction
* * Points gained from Interstellar Arms Race
* * ...

I don't know if Points gained from private Technologies are counted or not (there wasn't any in the game I analyzed for discrepancies)

My ideas:

I think that "Points gained from Tier 2 Guild Events" should be included in the running count and something displayed near the player's board to show those points clearly so that we can do a manual count of everyone's points.

I would be for the best if there was a button to open a table that shows the complete score itemized. Akin to what has been done for "New Frontiers".

And the running score could then include everything even the prospective points so that it would get a clear meaning : "what would be my score if the game ended now".

Possibly, there could be a table option to disable the running score completely. This can make sense in a fast real-time game where you don't really have the time to follow exactly where everyone stands.

Same problem. Score in the Game results is different than in the right panel. Correct is the Game result I think.

During endgame, as final scoring is calculated, 6 points are detracted from a player score, apparently when the effect of a Lvl4 technology (Giga-corporations) is taken into account.
Final score for this player is shown as 42 (incorrect) on game display or 54 (correct) in final score window. Contribution of 6 (positive!) points is recorded correctly in game log.

at the end of the game, the score was 41/47/36 at right top panel of score/source, however in final results table it was 51/47/36

Roughly same issue. At end of game, I was watching final score calculation... I knew I was winning by a margin of about 20 points. Was watching the score in the upper right increment, but then suddenly it started counting backwards. It eventually ended on 46 to my opponents 42. However the score displayed in the "final score" page correctly showed 62 to 42.

I think I know where it happened... looking through the logs, I see the "Final Round is Over" entry, and I can count through my score as it gets to 54 points with two items left in the log. The next one was a substitution of a Star control disk with a Food control disk as a result of the Giga Corporations Tech. The next and last remaining entry was 8 points for that. Those 8 points counted *backwards* on the upper right score tracker (taking me from 54 down to 46) while the end of game page correctly counted it forwards from 54 to 62,
