Bug IDs 3746 and 3606 sound similar and were marked as notabug. I noted that they did not describe using the Replay Moves button as the bug initiator, but their observations may have been from the same symptom.

Replay Last Moves button seems to be the culprit.
The tip bubble is a random "Did you know?"
F5 Refesh does not correct the problem because the Replay Last Moves action simply repeats itself, leaving a truncated history again.

In the physical game, you're not supposed to browse the deck of played cards. If Replay did show the whole history, it could be abused to gain knowledge you're supposed to memorize.
Hence, this is the intended behaviour.
I rest my case.

I think this may be where some of the confusion lies. Because as far as I can tell, the full history IS being displayed. I use it regularly to play now.

OK then, I've made it so the logs are trimmed when reloading (to 2 moves per player, accounting for double turns and/or long-term memory issues when playing turn based).
