Rejected.
Bet is pretty risky, and players do not bet quite often (especially beginners or cautious players).
Requesting confirmation or selection every time for no bet is not worth it.

I get what you're saying - but I wanted to bet and missed my chance because it wasn't clear. Is there a way to make it clearer then if you don't want to code it in?

It still only says "You must bid the number of tricks to take", at the top of the screen during this phase, which makes it feel like the Bet (which is a different thing) will happen later.
You've made "no bets" the default (with a faint red border), but I don't think it should be mostly ignored like it is now. Betting isn't that risky (just 1 sand dollar early game) - and it is part of the game. It should be more obvious when you are supposed to do it.
