Players are allowed to play a development card first but if there are no dev cards in hand I agree it should auto-roll.

Auto roll not possible. as you might have the option playing a knight before rolling. But yes a quick result rather than animation would be nice.

I also think that an auto roll is impossible. But a faster animation would be really nice.

I think an option for an auto-roll when you don't have any development cards would be good.

agree on auto-roll when you don't have knights. Other dev.cards are not allowed be played pre-roll in the original game.

If you have an auto roll option it is only useful when you don’t have a dev card, not knights. Knights would tell your opponents if you have one or not. And that can change the game (knights victory points)

Agreed, if and only if player has no development cards.
If player has dev cards, but no knight, a five-second countdown to roll would be good, too.

having the option to choose auto die roll would speed it up or make the die roll button in the middle of the screen on your turn

The drawback to an autoroll option is that it tells the other players that you don't have a knight card. Therefore, it should be an option that is off by default.

The other problem is that it doesn't actually speed up the game. The other players get resources, but they can't do anything with them. You still have to take your turn.

So autoroll should only take happen if you are already logged in. In that case, all it does is save you one button click.

It doesn't seem like this feature really helps.

I really prefer clicking the roll button, so hope this can stay as a player option.
