This is a vital feature for this game. In the real board game, you can position everything and try out different things before committing. It's so easy to make a mistake in this game because you couldn't eyeball the exact position of the vectors.

Without a full undo, you are really learning the game by the school of hard knocks. I'm on my second game and still figuring things out.

i know the implementation is very strict, but i think that's just the nature of the transposition of the game in the digital domain. adding the full turn undo would let player find the best position by trial and not eye prediction, as the game suggest.
to test how the car and vector would fit there's the hover preview and the possibility of confirmation (which i know are somewhat broken at the moment and will try to fix soon. i will also make this preference set by default to aid new players)
i'm sorry but i won't implement the full turn undo but if you have suggestions on how i can improve the move confirmation they are very welcome

One idea - when picking your car placement (with confirm option on, probably?), show the arrows for available direction afterwards at the same time, rather than after confirming. The arrows are on the tiles, but people aren't paying attention to those - displaying the arrows when picking that position might help people avoid the more common "oops" moments.

I understand the reasoning for not having an undo - nothing ruins a "racing" game like having someone slowly go through all their options and trying to figure out exactly which one will give them that extra millimeter advantage.

And yet . . . losing a game because of a misclick or a rules misunderstanding (especially if it happens in the first lap of a long race) is the sort of thing that makes players quit a game and never want to play again. That can't be good for the game or the publisher. (I've already had that response from a couple of friends.)

I really think you should add an undo, even if only for training games. Ideally, it should be an option players could chose at set-up and they could play the game the way they enjoy it. (That's how it's going to work with the physical copies when players play at home, right?)

When you write the "How to play" section, maybe you could include an emphasized section or note that the playing without undo is part of the designer's intent for the game. (That might also be helpful if you stand by the decision not to implement undo - it's the first question that people are going to ask.)
