The game rules of your table included the option for *any* player to unilaterally end the game early. The fact that the game did in fact end when a player selected the option to do so is not a bug.

This should not be an option in Arena game play unless both teammates agree to it. This seems like a loop hole for somebody to sabotage a game.

Following-up on this report, Raving Wanderer, I see there are four options for "Ending the Game Early" under preferences (and for each one, we can indicate how willing we are to play with that option).

* Allow any player to end game at end of any round (friendly play)
* Not allowed
* Allow any player other than leader(s) to end game early
* Allow only last-place players to end game early

Do any of those options require both partners in a four-player game to agree to end the game early? If so which ones?

Thanks for all your efforts on the Hand and Foot development -- it's really terrific!

Hmmm... sorry I posted before re-reading further through recent bug reports. My comment above relates more to bug report boardgamearena.com/bug?id=50190. And I see the developer has acknowledged and is working on it. Thanks!

In the meantime, it is possible to avoid games where one person can end the game early by setting the preference for "Not Allowed" to "I am okay playing with" and setting the preference for all options "I never want to play with."

Preferences are set separately for Arena and Simple games.

Currently available options to end the game early should not be in the arena configuration; the option in your game is explicitly labelled "friendly play".

None of the current options enabling early game end require agreement among players. As mentioned in the other bug report you reference, I am working on a (hopefully improved) concession mechanism that will include voting.
