Je suis d'accord avec cette interprétation. Le port est un bâtiment de la boîte de base, et sa règle ne prévoyait pas le chargement de plusieurs marchandises différentes en une seule fois, puisqu'aucun bâtiment ne le permettait.
Le petit quai permet de charger jusqu'à 5 marchandises différentes en une seule fois, et il me semble clair que le port doit procurer un VP par chargement, et non 1 VP par marchandise différente si chargée en une seule fois.

Lighthouse (captain phase): +1 doubloon for each _type of good_ loaded
In the Captain phase, each time a player with an occupied lighthouse loads
goods onto a ship he earns one extra doubloon. If he is also the Captain, he earns
1 additional doubloon on his first turn.

Harbor (Captain Phase): +1 VP for each _goods type_ loaded
In the Captain phase, if a player has an occupied harbor, each time he loads _a
different type of good_ onto a ship he earns one extra VP (see example under
Wharf, below)

Strange to see how that reference rule actually exactly says what you say is not written :)

I went to the above "reference rules".

Under Harbor it says: "Each time, during the captain phase, the owner of an occupied harbor loads goods on a cargo ship, he earns one extra VP." The example following this does not mention good "types" at all, and while it includes an example with Wharf, it provides none with Small Wharf. This is the exact document you linked to, on pg. 10.

I searched the entire document for "harbor" and there are no references to what you quoted above. I searched the entire document for the phrase "goods type" (like your quote of Harbor says) and the only place that phrase is used is under the warehouses. I see no other references to Harbor that aren't just general comments. I also did a search for "lighthouse" and don't see the quoted paragraph anywhere either. (It says it's "similar" to Harbor but 1 doubloon rather than 1 VP, but mentions nothing of "types of goods.")

I don't know what was different about the file that was linked to, but it doesn't say what you claim.

I did link to one post at BGG (in the Puerto Rico thread I'm about to go post on), and it agrees with this. It's nothing "official," but I didn't find anything official on BGG.

I have to agree with original poster of this bug. (Though I don't call incorrect rules "bugs," but that's another story.)

The reference rules I linked are not available anymore (it seems like the ravensburger website changed), so you must have opened the link provided by the creator of this bug report. So of course you won't find the text I'm quoting, since that is not the same as my reference version ;)

At this date, the reference version is still available in Google cache so you can check it out:

And I consider it a reference version since it is a consolidated version of the rules with both expansions and the new art for the game, so it's more up to date that the rules linked by the creator of this bug report.

Turned out after some extra player input that this was actually a mistake in the English translation.

The equivalent latest rulebook in German is clear about lighthouse and harbor bringing 1 doubloon / point per shipment and not per type of goods shipped.

This has now been fixed.
