This just happened to me in game 369419425. Move 520-525. I rolled the 'points for controlled territories' side of the conquer dice but it only gave me 5 points, not the 7 I was expecting since I have 2 'shared control' territories from Traders.

This just happened to me on game 326451239 (boardgamearena.com/table?table=326451239). I did not receive points for my trader tokens on opponent territories, where we should have shared control for scoring purposes, as per the rules.

According to the designer, Trader tokens should NOT count for control of a territory.

However, current version of the game (boardgamearena.com/9/tapestry?table=455632201) gives a Trader the opportunity to play a Trap card when an opponent attempts to conquer a territory with (only) a Trader token.

Trap text reads: "You may discard this card from your hand when an opponent tries to conquer your territory."

If the Trader token does not provide control of a territory, then it shouldn't count as "your territory" and thus the Trader player should not be able to play a Trap.

Ditto that trader tokens do NOT give control of the territory, so the traders may NOT conquer a space that is only next to one of their tokens. Also traders may NOT play a trap if a space with their token is conquered.

"Control refers to a territory on which your outpost is the only upright outpost. You can’t conquer territories you already control."
A trader token is not an outpost, so it should not control.

Same problem here for game #725692914 (of course, we're talking about the adjusted Traders).
The token doesn't even appear on the map.

The bug fix on September 25th doesn't resolve the original bug as it was reported in 2023. That bug, where player tokens placed on a territory with exactly 1 opponent outpost token were not being counted for scoring purposes, has been reintroduced. The tokens should not grant control for any purpose other than scoring, which is how the text of the civilization card reads: "Place a player token on a territory with exactly 1 opponent outpost token and nothing else: Gain the benefit on the territory (if any); you both share control of this territory for scoring purposes."
