This is not a bug. If you check the rules, they say "Place the Path board belonging to their chosen Path in front of each player, with a randomly chosen side up."

I would very much appreciate an optional setting to be able to choose, but it would be a variant, not the rules as written.

if look at the setup, you can select side a or b (which is only open to premium members) which be apply to all players. this intended by the game for balance.

To Jekka: that choice is about the main player boards: either the Symmetric A side or the Asymmetric B side. This choice applies to all players.

However, the Path board (with the evacuation condition) is independent of that choice. They are (correctly) assigned randomly, and different players may have different sides.
