Not a bug. As there are too many hand ranking variants, I didn't add any of them to avoid confusion.
Check the player aid to consult the hand rank used in BGA version.

I have the same concern.

Could you please clarify what "player aid" is? I did not see the particular chosen rule of comparing suit right after comparing the highest card specified in the settings of the game or under the "How to play?" section. According to the Wikipedia link under "How to play?", face values of each card should be compared first, before the suits.

See direct quote from Wikipedia below:
Flush (also known as a flower or sama bunga in Malaysia): Any 5 cards of the same suit (but not in a sequence). Rank is determined by Face value of the cards (highest first, then each lower card in order). Suit (♠,♥,♣,♦), is used to break ties. In some popular variations, flushes are not permitted as a playable hand, and thus it is the lowest possible combination.

You can find 'Player aid' button in the top bar where you can also find state messages and 'Play selected' button during your turn
