It is painful to get everyone to agree on everything. Especially if you are not on at the same time or actively chatting. A majority rules clause like in the game Pingamus would move the game along. This is how it is explained in the game rule book as well. 1 seashell vs. Perfect seashell

We played game boardgamearena.com/table?table=393652433 and thank goodness we were on chat, although that took much coercion to get individuals to change their votes. It was painful.

Muddy, I think you are confused between the voting of Double and Nothing vs the scoring at the end, the scoring is based on how many people matched (a majority), the voting is a group decision

Perhaps I do have the scoring confused. However, I do believe the majority rules clause should apply for online sessions of this game. I just finished a game that took us two days to agree on the 2X, X and Matching part alone. Playing in person, you are able to have discussions with each other as to the reasons for your choice and play the game cooperatively. When the players are not online at the same time, or language may be a factor, sometimes the messages may be skewed.
