I haven't been able to find an exact duplicate of this issue, but I get the impression from a couple of similarish ones that you might not want to put in a complete fix. In that case, a partial fix which would have been rather less frustrating than the situation I found myself in would be to allow the Commercial Harbor ability to be used part-way through the draws, so that I could draw one card from range, discard it for the Venom cost, and then do the irreversible draw from the deck.

Which other ones? I've seen other issues relating to Venom tokens, but none where it's a mathematical certainty that the cost can be paid, nor any which propose the partial fix.

The other ones where we prevent any undoable action if you dont have enough money for paying for Venom. We are not going to change that in the near future.

So how about allowing the sale of a card mid-draw? The glossary says "You may use the ability at any time during your turn, before, after, or during an action".

This bug affected my last game too. While I do understand that not all non-undoable actions can be allowed when money <2 with venom counters, wouldn't it be reasonable to have an exception with the Commercial Harbor map and Card Action with power >1 though? Specifically, I had to discard one of my good cards instead of a certain bad card (I was drawing with upgraded power 3 draw action) just because of the technical limitations of this implementation.
