Just updated browser, it was asking me to, but it still didn't fix the issue. Currently on Mozilla Firefox 116.0.3 (64-bit).

Sorry, life got busy. Just checked, and it's visible in replay:

You can also see that my unselected New Sparta is giving me the +1 military.

I can't tell for sure what's causing it, but my guess is that during the initial selection of starting worlds, the app is interpreting the bonuses of the still unselected starting worls as if they were installed already.
It's not a huge deal, but it does give information of what the opponent's starting world options/bonuses are. Hopefully it's easy to fix

There's no app here, but I think you're right: The game was counting the gene symbols on the starting world selection. I've submitted a fix so as not to give away which possible starting worlds a player might have.
